Blossom [@Ly-Blossom] here with a challenge for you!
}{
It’s very easy for people to point out all the flaws they have and all the reasons why they have problems with themselves yet so difficult to do the opposite.
The bible, in Proverbs 18:21 puts it this way: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” That means we should use our mouths to bring forth life – positivity, joy, graciousness – and not death – anxiety, depression, suicidal urges.
So I challenge you reading to make a list of bible verses of declaration (the longer the better), go to the mirror, look at yourself reaaaaal good and with your own mouth(of course you wouldn’t borrow someone else’s), read them out and personalise them for yourself. Do this at the beginning of your day and at the end for at least a week.
You may not ‘feel’ anything but just know that you are uprooting whatever weeds that negative words of declaration you have said to yourself in the past and planting new godly ones that will bloom into something beautiful.
Just to help you personalise, here are some verses to kickstart with:
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not give [ME] the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Philippians 4:6
” [I WON’T] worry about anything; instead [ I WILL] pray about everything. [I WILL] tell God what [ I ] need and thank Him for all He has done.”
Philippians 4:13
‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Joshua 1:9
“This is [GOD’S] command – [I WILL] be strong and courageous! [I WILL] not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with [ME] wherever [ I ] go.”
1 Corinthians 10:31
“So, whether [ I ] eat or drink, or whatever [ I ] do, [ I ] do it all for the glory of God.”
Isaiah 43:2
“When [ I ] pass through the waters, [GOD] will be with [ME], they will not overwhelm [ME]. When [ I ] walk through the fire, [ I ] will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon [ME].”
Psalms 139:14
“I will praise You [OH LORD] for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvellous are Your works. And that, my sould knows very well.”
There are so many more bible verses you can personalise. But you get the gist.
Go ahead and flourish y’all!!
