Psalm 119:11

“I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
~Psalm 119:11 (ESV)

Comment:
God’s word is so powerful and mighty! When I read it, I feel like a hole inside me is filled and I feel that my hunger has been satisfied.

That’s why it is so important to immerse yourself in the Word daily. There is an empty pit inside of us that can only be filled by soaking up and delighting in God’s word. When we spend time with Him, that pit is filled and we find ourselves desiring to please Him.

Reading and spending time in God’s word, soaking it up and digesting it is just as important to our souls as food and water are to our bodies. When we slack and procrastinate about it, we are starving ourselves of a great opportunity. An opportunity to store up the Word of God in our hearts.

One thing we all must remember is that our time on this earth is limited. Once we pass over an opportunity, we may never get the chance to get it again.

Take the opportunity to digest God’s word now. Where is your Bible? Are you feeding yourself from it daily? Are you storing God’s word in your heart?
