Psalm 139:23-24
NKJV
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting
I want you to dedicate time today to ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart. To search your mind, motive, and desires and to reveal to you whatever is wicked. Whatever evil is hidden in your heart. Whatever seed of lust, or anger that has been planted. Whatever stronghold in your life or chain needs to be broken. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you and search you. Invite Him into your heart to check its deep parts. To reveal to you what’s wicked. To uproot those seeds, to break those chains and to take out those characteristics that aren’t aligned with who He has called you to be.
Later David asks God to lead Him to the way everlasting. This is the narrow path (Matthew 7:13) we are called to walk in. After you’ve asked God to remove the wicked ways in your life, ask the Holy Spirit to enable you to walk according to the Spirit and the right path.
