To hear God’s voice works with obedience and with recongnising when it’s the Holy Spirit leading you. While praying, I challenge you to bring a notebook with you and write down the things that come to mind.
If someone pops into your mind, if you feel convicted about something, if you have an idea if you feel led. Write it down and if it’s an instruction, discipline or something you can do like send someone a post, do it immediately. This will help strengthen you to hear God’s voice and be obedient to His voice. Obedience helps strengthen your discernment of God’s voice in our lives while disobedience softens His voice.
When we are disobedient, we don’t hear Him as loudly and His voice becomes softer and softer to us.
This doesn’t just apply to your time with God, but you can keep this book with you whenever you leave your home. Write down whatever the Holy Spirit speaks to you. Whether it’s to pray for someone or to do something, it down. You can also use your phones to write down any prompts, instructions you may receive.
