Revelation 2:2-4

2 “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. 3 I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.
Lord based on this verse I surrender my heart before You, praying for the desire that was once in me to return. I pray that You bring back that passion, zeal and hunger for more of You.
Lord become my biggest love. Become my priority once again. Revive my heart and rekindle the desire in me for You, Your word and prayer. Lord, remind me that it’s never too late. If I’ve backslid or fallen into sin, remain me that nothing separates me from Your love.
Lord, become my first love again. Become my everything again. Lord, I desire a fire to burn in me for more of You. Help me to enjoy Your presence, love Your word and pray. Help me to gain back that thirst for You. That thirst that brought me to my knees. That desire helped me resist sin because I know it hurts You.
That desire that loved You so much and obeyed You. You said to love You is obeying You, Lord helps me to have that love again. The love to abide in You. That love to remain in You. That love that no gift, no person, nothing could take Your place in my life.
Restore that love. Restore everything Lord. Help me to be faithful in this covenant we are in. Help me to be faithful and steadfast in walking with You.
Do not let anything quench this desire for You. Do not let any attack of the enemy quench this desire but Lord give me the grace to remain on fire for You every day.
Fill me with Your spirit once again, fill me with Your glory. Fill me up with who You are. I desire You to encounter me, visit me and reveal Your love to me again. Restore the joy of my salvation, that joy of being saved. That fire I had for You where prioritising You felt easy.
Lord, help me to keep You as my first love all the days of my life even when it can be difficult too, may You always hold the highest importance and biggest priority in my life
