When you say that someone is preaching to the choir, it typically means that they’re presenting an argument or opinion to people who already agree with it.
However for today’s challenge, let’s challenge that narrative!
2 Peter 1:12-13 TPT says, “I won’t hesitate to continually remind you of these truths, even though you are aware of them and are well established in the present measure of truth you have already embraced. And as long as I live I will continue to awaken you with this reminder.”
You see, so even if the choir ‘knows’ what the preacher preaches, there is no harm in repeating it again for the sake of remembrance.
“Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment.” – Zig Ziglar.
So the challenge for today…Â PREACH TO YOURSELF.
Look at yourself in the mirror and say the Word of God to yourself. This would be a great time to whip out all the notes and studies you’ve been writing for the past years. Remind yourself. Set new action plans. In doing this, you’re solidifying the message of the gospel in you so much so that you’d be able to tell it in your sleep.
What does the Word of God say about love? Find out and preach it to yourself. What does the Word say about fun? Find out and preach to yourself.
