Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. –Â Proverbs 3:5-6
This is a daily prayer but also a decision. Each day we can choose to trust God or say, “Our will be done”. It’s convicting, encouraging and liberating. We are called to trust God with all our hearts and not lean on our own understanding.
So many times, we end up not TRUSTING God because we are leaning on our own understanding. What we think, what we believe, what we assume and what we desire. All this coming from the flesh can be like a fog in our minds and like a blanket to our eyes but when we decide to trust God above ourselves, we have clarity. Trust His wisdom and understanding and that His ways are higher and bigger than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9) we will experience true peace. In all our ways and in everything we should acknowledge God and God will make our paths straight.
Let’s choose today to surrender our minds before God. That God knows more, God sees more, and His wisdom far exceeds our greatest thinking. Trust that when you surrender your anxieties, mind, heart, will, way and desires that God takes the throne. When God has the throne, you can trust He’ll make your paths straight.
