30 He must increase, but I must decrease
Lord, may You increase in who we are. In our hearts, minds and character. That our character reflects You. May You increase in our way of speaking and behaving. May others see You in us. May You increase in our attitudes and thoughts. May You increase in our motives and decisions. May You increase in every action we take. May You increase in our gifts, talents and ministries. May You increase in every blessing we have. May You increase in our work.
Let when we speak that people hear You. When we write that people read Your words. When people meet us, they meet You in us. I want Your presence to be felt in all we do. That we can carry Your presence, carry Your presence in our gift, hearts and attitudes.
For You to increase, our surrender needs to increase. Increase our surrender. Help us to empty ourselves so that You can fill us up. Empty us of vain things. Empty us of things not good for us. Purify and empty us so we can be available vessels for Your kingdom. Empty us so we can be filled with You. As You fill this temple with Your power and glory, may Your presence be felt in all we do.
